Thank you to Malcom at Somerset Cricket Foundation and Chance to Shine for teaching us so many cricket skills this term. Rashford class had a brilliant last session working hard on their team building skills as well as their cricket skills. Many now have a great appreciation for cricket!

Will | St John and St Francis Church School

Thank you Will, for all of your brilliant coaching this term. We know, as always, the exceptional standard of coaching you deliver to our children and once again, we’ve been blown away by how much the children have engaged and enjoy these sessions. It is honestly one of the things I enjoy the most each year. Thanks to all at Somerset Cricket Foundation and Chance to Shine.

Niamh | Daniel Hiscox, Year 5 Teacher & PE Coordinator  Christ Church CE Primary

Niamh was an outstanding professional who led our school’s cricket sessions throughout the term. Her commitment to professionalism was evident in every interaction; sessions were always meticulously planned, punctual, and delivered with clarity. What truly set Niamh apart was her exceptional ability to adapt each session in real-time. She keenly observed the children’s needs, whether physical, emotional, or skill-based, ensuring that every drill and activity was pitched perfectly for development and engagement across different year groups of mixed abilities.

Niamh’s rapport with the children was instantaneous and genuine. She fostered a consistently friendly and encouraging atmosphere, which was instrumental in helping every child feel comfortable taking risks and trying new skills. Crucially, the children showed significant improvement in their core cricket skills—from bowling technique to understanding match strategy—a testament to her effective, personalised coaching methods. Furthermore, Niamh was a delight to work with; all of our teaching staff highly valued and thoroughly enjoyed their sessions with her, noting her excellent communication and collaborative approach. Any organisation would be extremely lucky to have her coaching and teaching expertise. It is remarkable that Niamh has so many qualities so early on in her coaching career. The sky really is the limit for this exceptional young lady!
