Somerset Cricket Foundation have recently welcomed a new member of staff to the development team, Ben Osborne.

Ben joins us as Club & League Development Officer and adds much needed capacity to our workforce in supporting senior and junior leagues, as well as playing a leading role in supporting our clubs to develop and grow by utilising national and local opportunities that are available to them. This will include National Programmes (All Stars and Dynamos), Creating Welcoming Environments, the County Grant Scheme, ClubMark and the Safe Hands Management system.

Ben has previous experience in Cricket Development having completed a placement with Cumbria Cricket as part of his Sports Management degree and has been involved with cricket in Somerset playing for Taunton Deane CC where he has been a captain and committee member. On joining SCF, Ben said:

I am really excited to have joined the Somerset Cricket Foundation. I have been playing cricket in the county for the last 6 years and I can see the great work they are doing throughout Somerset, and I can’t wait to get involved. I look forward to getting out and meeting clubs and volunteers throughout the county and help in any way I can.

Ben is contactable on ben.osborne@somersetcricketfoundation.org.
