School Holiday Courses
Each school holiday we run a number of courses for children in School Years 2 – 7. These courses involve a number of different cricket practises and games and are a great opportunity for players to improve their skills. The courses are delivered by our full-time community coaches who are experts in delivering enjoyable and engaging sessions to children.
All courses take place in the indoor school at The Centre of Excellence, Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton, TA1 IJT.

Below will give you an idea of some of the courses that we run:
‘Blast Batting’ is a holiday coaching course where players will practise their batting skills through a mixture of fun activities and games. Players will get the opportunity to hit lots of balls in a safe and nurturing environment developing their ball striking and power. Most importantly players will have a fantastic time! The School Years 5, 6 & 7 course will include hard ball practise and players will need to bring all their cricket equipment. The School Years 2, 3 & 4 course will be softball.
Our ‘Powerplay Skills’ course is a fantastic opportunity for players to practise and learn all the skills required to succeed in T20 cricket. Players will practise their batting, bowling and fielding skills before putting them to the test in games.
The School Years 5, 6 & 7 course will include hard ball practise and players will need to bring all their cricket equipment. The School Years 2, 3 & 4 course will be softball.
This is a GIRLS ONLY course for any girl in School Years 5, 6, 7 or 8. The girls will practise their cricket skills through a mixture of fun activities and games. Activities will use a soft ball (with hardball elements for those girls that it is suitable for) and will give players the opportunity to improve their batting, bowling, throwing and catching skills in a fun and friendly environment.
Girls do not need to bring any equipment but are more than welcome to bring their bats if they would like. If they wish to participate in hard ball practise they will need to bring all the kit that they have (some kit can be provided). They also need to wear trainers and comfortable clothing (cricket whites are not necessary).
