Coach Education

We run courses for those new to coaching and also more experienced coaches looking to develop.

If you are interested in training as a coach or gaining further qualifications and experience then you are in the right place!

Giving players a fantastic first experience of cricket is critical to their ongoing involvement in the sport. This responsibility usually lies with a cricket coach at a local club and one of our objectives is to grow and diversify the coaching workforce across the county to enable more people to have a great time playing the sport.

We run many different formal and informal training events for existing coaches, those looking to train as a coach and also those looking to support existing coaches. A brief overview and links to more detailed information on the courses we run can be found below.

ECB Support Coach

A three-hour face to face course designed to give learners the knowledge, skills and confidence to support qualified coaches.

The Somerset Coaches Association (SCA) is an active organisation, which is run to benefit all coaches in Somerset. There are workshops available for all SCA members.
