SPORTING MEMORIES
We are working with Reminiscence Learning to use the power of remembering and talking about sport – along with physical exercise – to tackle dementia, depression and loneliness. The initiative is open to men only aged 50 and over.
Free monthly event that helps increase connections and reduce social isolation in local communities. A free tea or coffee, a gentle stroll around the ground, and a Q&A.
Chance to Shine Street is a national project that aims to inspire young people aged 8 – 12 years old to access cricket, whilst promoting social cohesion and creating opportunities in diverse communities.
To help promote social interaction and physical activity to tackle dementia, depression and loneliness, this weekly session encourages people into light activity, an optional walk and a chance to talk sport and enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee.
New community initiatives to support displaced people across Somerset, encouraging them into playing cricket and getting involved in their local cricket clubs.
This programme focuses solely on collecting and donating cricket kit, distributing it to those who need it most. You can drop the kit to our offices at the Cooper Associates County Ground.
