Our community cricket programmes and events offer fun and inclusive activity for people of all ages and abilities across Somerset, whilst aiming to improve people’s lives and providing opportunities through the Power of Cricket.

WALKING CRICKET

Walking cricket is a fun way to keep your energy up, make new friends, and look after your health. There are 7 hubs across the county.

WELLBEING CHAMPIONS

Across Somerset, we are creating a network of Wellbeing Champions within cricket clubs who encourage an open culture around mental health.

SPORTING MEMORIES

We are working with Reminiscence Learning to use the power of remembering and talking about sport – along with physical exercise.

STREET CRICKET

This national project aims to inspire young people to access cricket, whilst promoting social cohesion, enjoyment and creating opportunities, in diverse communities.

TOGETHER IN SPORT

Using sport to help promote social interaction and physical activity to tackle dementia, depression and loneliness. Run every Monday, there is free tea & coffee for all attendees.

walkers & talkers

Free monthly event that helps increase connections and reduce social isolation in local communities. A free tea or coffee, a gentle stroll around the ground, and a Q&A.

diverse communities projects

New community initiatives to support displaced people across Somerset, encouraging them into playing cricket and getting involved in their local cricket clubs.

SPORTS KIT RECYCLING

This programme focuses solely on collecting and donating cricket kit, distributing it to those who need it most. You can drop the kit to our offices at the Cooper Associates County Ground.
