Promoting social interaction and physical activity

‘Sports Memories‘ is the latest community outreach programme to be delivered by Somerset Cricket Foundation, in partnership with Reminiscence Learning and funded by Sports England’s Together Fund, which uses sport to help promote social interaction and physical activity to tackle dementia, depression and loneliness.

The sports reminiscing project will take place at the iconic Cooper Associates County Ground for 12 weeks every Monday starting on the 31st October. We have complied a ‘fixture list’ for the 12 weeks detailing the sport we plan to reminisce, along with a variety of gentle physical activities including boccia, new age kurling and table cricket to get people active.

Take part

12 weekly sessions will take place at the Cooper Associates County Ground starting on Monday 31st October from 10am – 12.30pm. Sessions will cost £5 per person. To book a place, please contact us.
