All DBS applications should now be completed online. Paper forms can only now be used in exceptional circumstances.

Coaches and other volunteers – if you need a DBS ask your Club Welfare Officer to email you the invitation to complete one or contact:

Matthew Counsell matthew.counsell@somersetcricketboard.org
Brian Hoyle brian.hoyle@somersetcricketboard.org

Clubs and Club Welfare Officers – make sure everyone at your Club who needs a DBS, has one.

Please see the ECB list of roles requiring one by following the link below:

The SCB would like to recommend that all Club Welfare Officers become online DBS Verifiers.

This will not only enable club volunteers to become verified quickly and easily, but it will also enable clubs to monitor the DBS status of their volunteers.

If you are a CWO and would like to register to become an online verifier, please email the following information to either:

Matthew Counsell matthew.counsell@somersetcricketboard.org
Brian Hoyle brian.hoyle@somersetcricketboard.org

Full name
Date of birth
Email address
Cricket club or school

The new system is very user friendly, only takes a few minutes to fill in the form, and 3 or 4 minutes to carry out the document checking. Disclosures are typically issued within a week.

Make your club a safer club and ensure that all your coaches and volunteers are DBS checked now!
