The Somerset Trailer Scheme is now available for clubs to book for their end of season pitch renovations.

Last year 30 clubs across Somerset took advantage of the scheme and we expect demand to once again be very high. One day trailer hire with equipment for scarifying, picking up, seed, fertiliser and loam spreading. Our operator will work alongside club helpers, operating scarifier exclusively.

Basic hire cost:

Per pitch cost:
£20 per pitch (up to 12 pitches)
£30 per additional pitch from 13 onwards

For example:

10 pitch square: £150 (Hire cost) + £200(10 x £20 per pitch cost) = £350
15 pitch square: £150 (Hire cost) + £240 (12 x £20 per pitch cost + 3 x £30 additional pitch cost) = £480


For clubs wishing to use a contractor for all spreading work – seed, fertiliser and loam. This may be an option for large clubs with more than one square.

One day trailer with scarifier (plus rotorake brush for Graden on North trailer). Operator to transport trailer to and from ground, operating scarifier only.

Basic hire cost: £115

Per pitch cost:
£15 per pitch (up to 12 pitches)
£20 per additional pitch from 13 onwards

For example:

25 pitches over 2 squares: £115 (Hire cost) + £440 (12 x £15 per pitch cost + 13 x £20 additional pitch cost) = £555

New for 2021

New for 2021 the Somerset Cricket Foundation have agreed a two year partnership with Agrovista Amenity one of the leading suppliers of seed and fertiliser in the UK and additionally supply all types of soils. The partnership will enable Somerset Affiliated to clubs to purchase seed, fertiliser, soil and other stocked items at a discounted rate along with bespoke packages and free access to the Agrovista Amenity Academy  which is an online learning resource with courses and lessons created on a range of areas of turf management.
