Hampset Youth Section is strong with a good reputation. We field at least four teams each season covering U9s, U11s, U13s and U15s who all compete in the Bath & District Youth Cricket League as well as an U19’s who compete in the SCB T20. Over the years we’ve had consistent representation at the various levels of the SCB player pathway. The Club is aiming to introduce an All Stars Cricket Programme in 2020.
Youth training is twice a week (Wednesday’s and Thursday evenings in 2019) from April to end of July at our home ground in Bloomfield Rise, Odd Down, Bath. This is well attended with over 60 playing members and caters for ages from 7 to 15 years.
Weekend winter training currently takes place at the Beechen Cliff in the period from early February to the beginning of the Easter term.
The key objective will be to oversee, develop and deliver our Youth Coaching Programme, assist with the transition of youth players into senior cricket and help to develop coaches from within our current membership.
As for budget, we will be offering a competitive rate for the role which potentially could include the use of Hampset’s facilities for 1:1 coaching, Youth Holiday Training Camps, and personal training sessions.
Preference will be given to a candidate that wishes to integrate wholeheartedly into the life of a friendly and ambitious club.
Additionally there is potential for The Head Coach to have charge of Senior Training- developing, structuring and improving sessions.
