The Somerset Cricket Foundation recently hosted a fantastic Inclusive Cricket Day, bringing together players from across the county to celebrate the many different ways people can enjoy and participate in cricket.

The special event welcomed players from Somerset Disability Cricket Club, Somerset VI Cricket Club, No Limits Adult Disability Cricket Hub, Super 1s and Street Cricket, giving participants the opportunity to experience a first-class cricket environment and showcase their skills on the outfield.

The day was about more than just cricket,  it was about creating opportunities, building confidence, and showing that the game is truly for everyone. Players had the chance to take part in activities on the outfield, demonstrate their talents, and enjoy being part of a professional matchday experience.

For many participants, stepping onto the outfield of a first-class venue was a memorable moment, providing a sense of pride and achievement while highlighting the incredible talent within Somerset’s inclusive cricket community.

The Somerset Cricket Foundation continues to work hard to make cricket accessible for all, supporting programmes that remove barriers and allow people of all abilities to take part in the sport they love.
