The role of Trustees is pivotal and will enable you to use your expertise to improve health outcomes through playing a part in the prevention agenda, giving children the best start in life, tackling health inequalities and reaching into communities to provide access, inclusion and development of life skills through the game of cricket.
I am delighted you are exploring these opportunities. We are seeking individuals who have a background and experience in Finance and/or Audit and could contribute to or chair a board committee in future. Additionally, we are seeking experienced Trustees who bring a focus across board business. You may also have expertise in digital, community, partnerships and health outcomes, which is desirable but not essential.
With income having doubled in the last four years and set to rise still further in the next few years, the opportunities for further development of our outreach and the effect that can have, particularly in the more deprived parts of the county and some of the most disadvantaged in society, is enormous. We take pride in our relationships with the county club, as well as local delivery partners; the established partnerships of the ECB, Chance to Shine and the Lords Taverners; and an increasing number of local and regional sponsors and donors with whom we develop specific targeted and measurable programmes in the community.
This is an exciting time to join our Board, in the context of our track record of performance and success, as well as the recent appointment of our new Managing Director, Maralyn Smith. Maralyn and I strongly believe that we have a great opportunity to lead the foundation into the next phase of its growth and development and we would love to have you on board to help us.
We very much look forward to hearing from you.
Jayne Mee, Chair
