On Saturday 4th September Somerset Cricket Foundation hosted their first women’s Hundred Cricket festival of the at Bridgwater Cricket Club. The event, the first in the county to take and followed similar rules to the Hundred competitions launched by the ECB this summer. Three of the strongest women’s teams in Somerset attended Bath CC, Bridgwater CC and Taunton Deane CC.
Colette Gooding (Women and Girls Development Officer) ‘It was great to watch all three teams in action of Saturday and watch some really competitive matches and some stand out performance. I’m really excited to develop more opportunities over the next few years to ensure all players are given the best chance to get involved in cricket at all levels. There was a great atmosphere throughout the day and really and big thank you to Bridgwater for hosting.’

Congratulation to Bridgwater for two great performance and overall winners of Women Hundred Festival 2021.
Well done to Chloe Skelton our Match Hero for the day, for an outstanding batting innings scoring 90 of 44 balls including 12 -4s and 5- 6. She also bowled extremly well with 10/3 agaist Taunton Deane and 2/2 against Bath.
