15 weeks after the competition started, Yeovil CC 2nd XI and Cranmore CC stepped out on to the Coopers Associates County Ground, Taunton eager to see who would come out on top as winners of the Somerset Cricket Foundation Minor KO Final in partnership with Somerset County Sports.
Yeovil Captain Sam Watts won the toss and elected to field first, a decision that seemed to be paying off when Joseph Kember removed Joe Weare in the second over. Lewis Holland bowled a miserly spell of 4-1-15-3 which restricted Cranmore further, leaving them on 38/4 at the halfway point.
Josh Keene then set about rebuilding the innings and received solid support from Noah Millard and Cranmore closed their innings on 117/7.
In reply, 3-17 from Brad Angell and 5-16 from Taylor Angell meant Yeovil were never able to settle, Michael Harvey being the only batter to reach double figures. Yeovil found themselves bowled out in the 18th over, losing by 30 runs.
Player of the Match was awarded to Taylor Angell.
