Somerset Disabled Cricket Club celebrated players from across the 2025 season at their awards evening last Friday, at Taunton Rugby Club. Somerset County Cricket Club’s Tom Abell joined the players, handing out awards and celebrating another successful year for the three teams.
D40
Somerset Disabled Cricket Club’s D40 side enjoyed a season of clear progress and growing confidence, highlighted by strong wins and competitive performances that led to the team finishing 2nd in the South West league. There are promising signs of continued development ahead of 2026.

Somerset Disabled Cricket Team’s Super 9s enjoyed one of their most successful seasons yet since the inception of the D40 team. This season saw the team lose the league title on a tight net run rate to Cornwall. Despite this disappointment, it was a season marked by individual milestones, strong teamwork, and clear progress that lays a solid foundation for future success.

Dragons
The Somerset Disabled CC Dragons enjoyed a successful 2025 season, despite plying fewer games than hoped. The Dragons provides a vital bridge for Super 1s players to gain competitive experience, develop skills, and grow in confidence as they hopefully progress through Somerset’s disability cricket pathway.
