The Somerset Cricket Foundation has released its Impact Report for 2022, which shines a light on the wide spectrum of programmes and initiatives delivered across our club, school and community networks in the last year.
The report provides insight into how these wide ranging initiatives – delivered by a team of dedicated and highly motivated staff and volunteers – have supported, grown and diversified grassroots cricket in Somerset over the past year; all the while ensuring that it remains a game for everyone.
Fundamental to the Foundation’s successes in 2022 were the strategic local and national partnerships that have enabled us to maximise the reach and impact of cricket in the county. From the incredible work in schools, to the development of our Girls’ training camps and the launch of the inaugural DIScover ABILITY Day, these partnerships enable us to continue to grow, develop and expand the variety of programmes that we deliver.
Somerset Cricket Foundation’s Managing Director, Jon Bendle, commented: “The achievements over the last year is testament to the incredible work of our staff, volunteers, supporters and partners and reinforces our commitment to make a positive difference to people’s lives through cricket.”
“We have aspirations and ambitions to be the leading Cricket Foundation in the UK and we’re extremely excited about the opportunities to build on the successes of the past year. As this Impact Report shows, cricket can undeniably be used to enrich lives and make a significant difference to people’s physical, social and mental well-being.”
