UK Coaching
A range of online courses and workshops to support coach development are available at UK Coaching.
These courses include:
Mental Health Awareness for Sport and Physical Activity – 2-3 hours – Cost: £8.99
Inspiring Positive Behaviour in Sport – 30 minutes – Cost: £6.99
Duty to Care Toolkit and Digital Badge – 5 modules – Cost: Free of charge

Online DBS – Essential qualification
The DBS has now reverted to an online system during the current period. For further information on how to initiate your DBS application with the SCB staff please click here.
Online Safeguarding Young Cricketers module (SYC) – Essential qualification
Coaches who have previously accessed the online SYC module (and it is now expired) should log in and access the course in their e-learning account.
Coaches who have not previously completed the online SYC module should email the following information to brian.hoyle@somersetcricketboard.org :
Full name – Date of birth – Preferred email address – Club affiliation
You will then be added to the course list and sent an email directly from the ECB to access the free online course.

Club Welfare Officers (CWO’s)
Safe Hands Workshop
Safe Hands Workshop or Safe Hands Refresher courses can now be accessed through a free online course. This qualification is valid for a 12 month period and covers all existing or new CWO’s.

Online Safeguarding Young Cricketers module
The Safeguarding & Protecting Children qualification requirement can currently be covered by accessing the free online ECB Safeguarding Young Cricketers module.
Candidates who book onto the online Safe Hands Workshop detailed above, will automatically be sent a link to the Safeguarding Young Cricketers course within 24 hours.
They should then access the course and complete the online SYC qualification.
CWO’s who only require the online Safeguarding Young cricketers module should email the following information to brian.hoyle@somersetcricketboard.org :

Groundskeeping
The Grounds Management Association have launched a new online Level 1 module on Cricket Grounds Maintenance, to allow you to gain an awareness and general understanding of the tasks involved in maintaining playing surfaces.
