There she led a workforce of 43 full time employees and 50 volunteers in delivering impactful programmes for young people and communities of all ages and abilities, within formal and informal settings, supporting 57,000 participants annually.

Speaking about Maralyn’s appointment Winston Duguid, SCF chair commented:

We received a high number of quality applicants for the position of managing director from grassroots cricket and cricket boards, from other sports and non-sports charities and from both the educational and community sectors. Maralyn’s all-round experience and achievements in her career to date, particularly in running another sports charity, impressed   together with her personality and interpersonal skills. The trustees very much look forward to supporting Maralyn in the next exciting phase of the Somerset Cricket Foundation’s journey.

Maralyn commented:

I am excited to be starting work with Somerset Cricket Foundation supporting the team to continue and extend their excellent work supporting communities. Enabling individuals and groups to participate in Cricket in all its forms and benefit from activities link to the sport. SCF has excellent relationships with Somerset County Cricket Club and with our programme sponsors and I see my role as building these relationships to provide accessible impact and benefits to communities through the opportunities that Cricket can provide.
