On the 26th of August we held one of our Metro Bank Network Events.
We had the pleasure of inviting 20 clubs on to the Thatchers terrace for our Women’s R&R event. It was a brilliant opportunity to celebrate; network and thank the volunteers for all their hard work over the season.
Volunteers who make up the Women’s and Girls game are crucial in enabling cricket to take place. We do not underestimate the amount of time, dedication and commitment it takes to support cricket within the local clubs, communities and the running of games. It would simply not be feasible without volunteers giving up their time to make it possible.
Therefore, this was a prominent opportunity to recognise and appreciate every single person that has made a vital contribution to the Women’s and Girls network. Ultimately sustaining opportunities for cricket to be played.
To any club that has a women’s or girls’ section we’d love to thank you for all your support and efforts throughout the season. Please keep a look out for our winter opportunities.
