The 2025 Women’s Indoor Cricket League in Somerset has officially concluded, marking the biggest indoor cricket competition for women to date. This was the first time Somerset organized a formal indoor leagues, stepping away from the traditional festival format, and the competition has proven to be a tremendous success.
Over the past three months, 33 teams competed across five venues, showcasing the growth and popularity of women’s cricket in Somerset. Teams from various skill levels and backgrounds participated, making the league both exciting and highly competitive.
The fixtures took place over a period of three months, with each team having the opportunity to face off in multiple matches, culminating in an intense and thrilling conclusion to the league.
League Winners
The league winners across the different venues are as follows:
- Crewkerne Indoor League – North Perrott CC
- Weston-super-Mare Indoor League – Huntspill and District CC
- Bath Indoor League – Frome CC
- Taunton Indoor League – Bridgwater CC
- Bristol Indoor League – Bedminster CC
It was fantastic to have so many clubs involved in this year’s league, and a big congratulations to all the teams that participated.
As we look forward to the summer, the success of this indoor competition has set a great foundation for even more exciting cricket to come. Somerset’s women’s cricket scene is growing rapidly, and we can’t wait to see how the teams continue to develop and compete in the upcoming outdoor season.
